Alex Floum is a seasoned transactional lawyer and litigator, and a former adjunct law school professor. Alex is licensed to practice law before the United States Supreme Court and all State and Federal Courts throughout the State of California, and is licensed to practice in the state of California as well as the District of Columbia.

 

Alex practices in the areas of intellectual property, entertainment law, business law, and technology and international agreements. As a transactional lawyer, he has extensive experience in trademark applications globally, copyright applications for software, music, books, photographs and all other works, trademark, copyright and patent license and assignment agreements, licensing agreements for every industry and every type of property, and all of the other contracts which a client needs.

 

As a litigator, Alex represents clients in all aspects of civil litigation and dispute resolution involving business, real estate, construction and intellectual property matters in all courts, government hearings, arbitrations and mediations.

 

Alex taught trademark and related areas of law for several years to both practicing lawyers and law school students as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University Law School. He was the founding president of the Intellectual Property Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.

 

Alex graduated from University of California Los Angeles in 1986 and earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1990.

 

Alex is an enthusiastic runner, bicyclist, wine maker, guitar player, photographer and coder. He enjoys travel and spending time with his family. Alex resides in Walnut Creek, California with his wife, two daughters, and family pets.
